Julia and Jacques: Cooking at Home was the last culinary series to star Julia Child. Teaming up with Julia for these 22 programs was Jacques Pépin, who had just finished Jacques Pépin's Kitchen: Encore with Claudine. This show took A La Carte Communications, its producing agency, into a new direction. After Julia and Jacques: Cooking at Home, A La Carte grew by leaps and bounds with programs such as Michael Chiarello's Napa and America's Test Kitchen. There is no editor for this show. Anna Lee is a British television series produced by Brian Eastman and Carnival Films for London Weekend Television. Following a 1993 pilot, five two-hour programmes were produced in 1994, loosely based on the detective novels of Liza Cody. These were broadcast in the U.S. on the A&E cable network. The title role was played by Imogen Stubbs. Music was by Anne Dudley with theme song "Sister, Sister" and some additional songs by Luciana Caporaso. Considerable alterations were made from the original books so that sometimes they seem to share only their titles. According to actor Ken Stott's webpage:

The drama revolves around a girl name Sauleha who lives with her husband Rashid and their daughters, but is pressed by her mother-in-law to produce a son otherwise she will be thrown out of the house. Sauleha delivers a baby boy but the boy gets exchanged for a girl by Qayyum in the hospital who is desperate to have a son. Sauleha's mother-in-law does not accept the baby girl and in order to get away from her presence she performs black magic which disturbs the mind of Sauleha. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law murder her but pretend it is suicide. Rashid forcefully marries Saba but he doesn't accept her as a wife and this disturbs Saba. The family starts facing paranormal activities and the invisible presence kills a number of people. Meanwhile, the demon possesses Saba but Rashid thinks that she has a mental illness, and then Sauleha's spirit continues to haunt Qayyum's house and is on a mission to avenge her killers.
