HUAN has been defending the city of Ji against the Manchurian army. HUAN and his troops, however, are running out of food. HUAN is so preoccupied by this urgent matter that he hardly ever cares about his son CHENG ZHI, who is afflicted with a serious disease. One day, the food depot for the Manchurian army is mysteriously ignited, and their commander has been beheaded. The Manchurian army is thus in disarray.
