Huang Wenxiu graduated with a master's degree from Beijing Normal University. She gave up job opportunities in the big city and returned to her hometown where she was born and raised. She worked in the Propaganda Department of the Baise Municipal Party Committee. In March 2018, she took the initiative to work in the poorest village in Guangxi.
