Oni is an orphan who is born blind. She is adopted by a cart puller. Despite of his blindness, Oni can cure diseases. So when her adopting parent dies, someone else takes care of her. But ever since her village is pillaged Oni lives on as a wanderer.

Dewi, who has many love problems with her boyfriends, falls into the arms of Dayan, her boss, who also has a problem after becoming a successful businessman. Being told by his doctor that he has only a few months left to live, he suddenly feels the emptiness at home. His wife, Anneke, has her own occupation. Director Arifin chooses a “poetic” style of telling the story so that the storyline follows the internal conflicts of the characters. The poetry is also characterized by slick photography.

Wisnu and Popo Hartopo are two motocross riders who are famous and respected. One day, Wisnu meets a sweet girl, Yanti and they fall in love. Margens, also loves Yanti, and he tries to ruin Wisnu’s career to win Yanti. During a practice, Margens and his friends start to make trouble and beat up the leader of Wisnu’s group, Hendrik. Margens then tries to rape Yanti and even causes harm to Wisnu during a race. Yanti stays faithful and waits for Wisnu’s recovery from his injuries.
