Ben Hirschhorn is an actor, writer and director best known for his work in the films AMARU, CLOSETS KEEP SUBURBAN BOYS HOME, and PRACTICE FUNERAL, for which he received the “Best Actor Award” at the Los Angeles Short Film and Script Festival. Most recently, Ben was nominated for an “LA Drama Critic Circle Award” for the critically acclaimed West Coast premiere of TRAYF at the Geffen Playhouse. A native New Yorker, Ben studied acting at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts before venturing out to the west coast to attend USC's BFA Acting program. He made his directorial debut in 2022 with his short film GOGGLES “...a lighthearted comedy (think Groundhog Day meets Black Mirror) with a dark ending ... all built on the premise of American immigration." - Honeysuckle Magazine. His upcoming projects include- A FEW PERFECT HEADS; an animated short film about a young man holding onto the memory of his father... and his hair (finalist at the Academy Awards qualifying Nashville Film Festival). He'll also be starring in the world premiere of ROOM 1214; an off-broadway play about the 2018 Parkland school shooting, opening in the fall of 2024.
