Uncle and his nephew are going to the capital to sell fruits and vegetables, selling a bag of "thyme" on the way that will reach someone else. When they realize it wasn’t thyme, that’s when the adventures begin.

Throughout the plot, he seeks the answer to this question, but finds it difficult to find the answer, and the complex contrasts of life confuse him.

“Urban Motives 4.1” is an anthology film consists of 5 short movies by 5 Azerbaijani directors. The first, by Anar Abbasov, is about a relationship between a man and women who live next door; second, by Ru Hasanov, is about a life of a musician who is different from others with his mentality; third, by Teymur Ismayilov, tells a story of a young worker who has his own dreams; fourth, by Jafar Akhundzade, is about traumas caused by war; and the last one, by Vugar Islamzadeh, is a story about a criminal group and an officer who wants to take revenge.

Murad, a young man fails the entrance exam to the Institute and starts working at the meat factory. His cousin Rustam, a worker on a building site, fights with him against the dishonest people who sell pieces of meat from the factory. After a series of dramatic situations, Murad and Rustam manage to uncover the thieves.

A young theater singer Teymur is in love with Farzali bey's beautiful daughter, Telli, but has nothing to offer to marry her. Yet he decides to speak with her father. While planning to "sell" his daughter to one of other wealthy bey's son, Farzali bey still promises that if Teymur will kill Rustam, he will let Telli marry him. Rustam and his friend San Sanich defend Teymur, but after talking to him become friends. They decide to help ...
